I’ve been having a great week.
Today I was basically the only one talking during a discussion in one of my history classes which is something that I never do normally. But my teacher kept asking questions I knew the answers to/had different opinions about so I just kept raising my hand and getting called on.
So that boosted my confidence.
My spanish teacher continues to be a spain-centric/america hating demon who doesn’t know how to teach/disrespects her students, but I’m learning how to deal with it.
This week (and the last two days of last week) has been tough with our Obama presentations
She starts talking about the US and our politics and economy and I just sit there like
And then she starts hatin on the US and refusing to hear our arguments through to their ends, insisting she’s right and we don’t know what we’re talking about and I’m all
I just step out into the hall and go to the bathroom to stop myself from hitting her over the head with my desk. That feeling comes up every time she says “Well I lived in the US too. I’ve seen this so I know.”
But class always come to an end and I get to go to lunch with my buddies. Yesterday we went to this awesome sandwich place that makes giant sandwiches with like 4-5 slices of bread. So bad for you, but so good.
I helped my Oppa out with a homework thing for our field study that he didn’t do and was going to get in serious trouble over (long story) so he treated me to lunch. We talked about Korean culture and he taught me new phrases! Not sure how, but I’m very good at pronouncing Japanese and Korean words. Oppa kept getting freaked out by it and kept telling me how perfect my pronunciation is.
And now I’m done with my dumb spanish project/paper/presentation and I got an A on the first 6 page paper I wrote for history that I had been thinking I would be lucky to get a C on.
AND my mom just got a nursing job so with that and another repayment of good karma from the universe my financial issues have evaporated. I can plan my trips and be more at ease!
So I’m gonna go celebrate. Thursday I’m hittin’ up the Sangria bar and the 1€ taco place. Friday I’m gonna go see Real Madrid practice/get autographs thanks to Oppa and the connections he’s managed to form here.
No one can stop me!
